Practice with me

My restorative class is a subtle yet powerful practice centered around resting the physical body, calming the nervous system, and releasing physical tension and stagnant energy.

This practice creates the ideal environment to relax, recover, and rest through props, guided visualization, aromatherapy, hands-on adjustments/reiki, gentle movement, and breathwork.

Restorative yoga is perfect for anyone and everyone, regardless of yoga experience.

Somatic Stretch is a more active, exploratory counterpart to this work. It weaves together fascia flossing, resistance-based stretching that glides and hydrates connective tissue, with simple movement patterns and periods of rest to unwind habitual holding and bring awareness to how the body organizes itself. Rather than pushing for range or intensity, the focus is on sensation, timing, and what shifts when you move with attention.

There’s a rhythm to the practice, a gradual build of effort, sometimes a touch of discomfort, followed by space to pause and integrate. These cycles support mobility and resilience while allowing the nervous system to settle.

Together, these practices offer different entry points into the same conversation. One through stillness and support, the other through movement and curiosity. Both are designed to help you listen more closely, move with greater ease, and feel more at home in your body.

  • Highland Park Yoga

    Sundays 6:00 pm | Restorative

A slow 75-minute practice to calm the nervous system, balance the flow of qi (subtle energy) through the body, improve flexibility and joint mobility, and encourage a deep release of the body’s connective tissue. Many variations and modifications will be offered for each pose to suit all bodies and ability levels.

Thursdays 8:30 pm | Somatic Stretch

This 60- minute exploratory practice is designed to unwind tension, reawaken sensation, and restore ease in movement. This class blends fascia-flossing (resistance-based stretching) with somatic exercises that invite your body to re-pattern habitual holding and expand its natural range of motion. Each sequence is informed by both the astrological season and the Chinese medicine calendar to support whole-body balance and energetic harmony.

  • One Down Dog

    Mondays 6:00 pm Somatic

We begin with activating breathwork and gentle, rhythmic movement to shake off stagnant energy and awaken the body. From there, we shift into grounding practices, subtle movements with attention, and exercises designed to support and regulate the nervous system. The emphasis is less on doing and more on listening. Together we practice staying present with sensation, meeting challenge with care, and cultivating a steady awareness on the mat.

    Thursdays 4:30 pm Restore

Using props and long-held postures to support deep relaxation and release. Restore soothes the nervous system, melts away stress, and replenishes energy. An ideal practice for anyone needing rest, recovery, or quiet time to nourish body and mind.
